What We Access Through Accessibility Service:
QuizBloc uses Android's Accessibility Service exclusively for parental control purposes. This permission allows us to:
- Monitor Website URLs: Detect which websites are visited in web browsers to enforce web filtering policies
- Monitor YouTube Content: Detect YouTube video titles and channel names to enforce content restrictions
- Detect Current App: Identify which app is in the foreground to enforce screen time limits
Important Privacy Protections:

8. Web Filtering & YouTube Policies
8.1 Web Filtering Configuration
Parents can configure web filtering policies including:
- Blocked Categories: Adult content, gambling, violence, drugs, weapons, hate speech
- Blocked URLs: Specific websites or domains to block
- Allowed URLs: Whitelist of always-accessible sites
- Safe Search: Enforce safe search on search engines
- Unknown Categories: Option to block uncategorized sites
Data Storage: Policy configurations are stored on our servers. Actual URLs visited stay on the device only. No browsing history is ever transmitted or stored.
8.2 YouTube Policy Configuration
Parents can configure YouTube restrictions including:
- Restricted Mode: Enable YouTube's built-in content filtering
- Daily Time Limit: Set maximum YouTube usage per day
- Blocked Channels: List of channels to block
- Blocked Keywords: Videos with these keywords are blocked
- Allowed Channels: Whitelist of educational channels
- History Tracking: Option to track watch/search history locally
Data Storage: Policy configurations are stored on our servers. Video titles and channel names are detected on-device only. Watch history is tracked locally on device, not transmitted to servers. Parents can disable history tracking at any time.
